Offensive Haiku
I've read that the youngsters today, inspired by short attention span and Twitter, are becoming more interested in Haiku. Inasmuch I've summarized our offensive philosophy in Haiku:
In cutting from deep
Clearing hard then running long
Summertime success
See you tomorrow.

Jeremy's REAL words of wisdom
Getting acquainted time is over -- it's time to start investing in each other and in the team. We've got 7.5 more weeks (30 games!) and two awesome tournaments to come together and make this an enjoyable and memorable summer. Let's make the most of each game both on and off the field.
Game 2: Bros. Awesome jerseys & W!
"Fancypants" DeMarco and "Fear Factor" Rogeaux did lots of fouling, stripping, and other such unsportmanly like play...which could have easily been confused for good play. Jeremy got skyed by Bryce and we looked sharp.
Game 1: Swanson. no jerseys (something - something+more)
All I remember from that game is that I got skyed

Not Feeling Inspired Yet
When will Grumpelstiltskin post some inspiring words of inspiration to inspire us?

Game 1: Lucky 8-9
They got Lucky on universe point. Universe might be an overstatement....it was game point.
Game 2: Schmitt callers 9-8
They made some calls...some is probably an understatement. People jogged around, but we still won.

A Double Dip of Inspiration
I'm late this week, but this is a double dip in the sense that you should read this twice and take it to heart twice as much (or more!) than anything else that I write. This is the key. Really.
Perhaps the most important thing you can do in frisbee and in life is to focus on you and your teammates (and friends, family, etc). You can change yourself and your teammates for the better; you can improve your skills, support your teammates, and develop bonds that will help you weather bad times. Trying to change other people or getting frustrated when they don't do what you'd like is a waste of time and energy. The Thundercats success is rooted in a focus on ourselves, not the other team. When you struggle, you're most likely to find success by bringing the focus back to what you can influence and improve: yourself and your teammates.

Crushed Ice Rocked the Caribou.
T'cats were well represented as DeMarco and his band, Crushed Ice, melted our faces off. :) Personal favorite: psychedelic rendition of Hit the Road Jack. Nice. 9 hours til we dominate.

Game 1: Beat 7 guys who acted like bitches
Game 2: Hot play from Dimarco. People caught discs between their legs, others got stoned. New nickname: Fresh?

thanks everyone for your support during these tough times. it was rough going last night, knowing that some stranger had taken my flip flops and was doing god-knows-what with them. but thankfully, they've been located and a rendezvous is being arranged for saturday morning. can't wait to see them again.
